Interacting with Creatorchain Using MetaMask

As we have mentioned before, our first testnet version will has 2 main features:

Use the existing Ethereum-based tools they know and love, like MetaMask, and Remix
Substrate Validator Set Pallet to add/remove authorities/validators using extrinsics, in Substrate-based PoA networks

Developers can use Creatorchain’s Ethereum interoperability capabilities to incorporate tools like MetaMask onto their DApps. As a result, they could interact with the blockchain using the injected library provided by MetaMask.

Following is the full instruction of how to interact with Creatorchain using MetaMask. Let’s get started!

Step 1: Instal your own MetaMask (if you have one, skip this step)

We begin with a new MetaMask installation from the Chrome store. Follow the “Get Started” tutorial after downloading, installing, and initializing the extension. You must establish a wallet, set a password, and save your secret backup phrase there (this gives direct access to your funds, so make sure to store these in a secure place).

Now you have your own MetaMask wallet, let’s move to the next step!

Step 2: Connect MetaMask to Creatorchain

Once you have MetaMask installed and have created or imported an account, you can connect it to Creatorchain by clicking on the top right logo and opening the settings.

Step 2: Navigate to the Networks tab and click on the “Add Network” button.

On this phase, you can configure MetaMask for the following networks:

Network Name: Creatorchain Testnet

RPC URL: https://rpc.magnet.creatorchain.network

ChainID: 1509

Symbol (Optional): CTR

And that’s it! Anyone can interact with the Creator Chain Network with some basic drag and drop actions.

Now you can provide your Metamask Wallet Address in this Google Form to be allocated tokens in order to drive our first version of Creator’s Magnet Testnet! The Form will be closed on Oct 3, 2021. Creator team will allocate tokens after that, kindly keep an eye on our announcements for the earliest updates.
