Step by step guide on how to trade on Gate.io

Gate.io is a blockchain asset trading platform declaring to offer low withdrawal fee, cold storage wallet, and low trading fee.

Below is a guide we have prepared to help you create an account and trade on Gate.io.

1.Create an account on Gate.io

The first thing you need to do in order to trade on Gate.io is to create an account. To create an account on Gate.io, click HERE and follow the instructions down below.

Step 1: Click on the “Signup” button in the top right corner.

Step 2: Fill out the Sign-Up form and hit “Next”.

Step 3: Fill your fund password then click “Create Account”

Step 4: A notification will show that your account has been created successfully. You then need to check your email and click the given link in the inbox for verification.

Step 5: The screen on Gate.io will show that you have verified your account. Click “Close” then move to step 6.

Step 6: Fill your Phone number/Email/Username and Password then click Log In.

Step 7: Anti-phishing Verification box pops up on the screen, click “Confirm” to go on.

Step 8: A 6 digits code will be sent to your email address. Check your email and fill the numbers in the box, then click “Login”. If successful, your screen will be redirected to the home page of Gate.io

2. Trading on Gate.io

On Website

Step 1: On the home page of Gate.io choose Trade -> Spot Trading

Step 2: There are USDT, BTC, ETH, QTUM and Time-Limited markets on gate.io. Coins listed under each market indicate a trading pair. By selecting a coin, you select a trading pair.

In this example ONT/USDT page is selected.

Step 3: Enter your desired price on “Price” field and the amount on “Amount” field.

Click “Buy” button if you want to buy. If sell, fill the information on sell form.

A dialogue will popup to remind you to check the price and amount again. Enter your fund password after checking and place your order.

Step 3: Your order will appear in the order Tab below the form.

Step 4: Once the order is uted, your funds will be credited to your balance.

Step 5: The uted/canceled order will then move to the Trade History.

On APP

Step 1: Tap Markets at the bottom and tap a tab on the top of the screen to show a list of coin under that market. Slide down to find your trade pair.

In this example, ONT/USDT is selected.

Step 2: Tap on the chart and then tap on Buy or Sell button to access to trade screen. In this example, Sell ont for usdt.

Step 3: Enter your desired price on the Price field; Enter the Amount on the Amount field, then tap on Buy button to place your order

A dialogue will popup to remind you to check the price and amount. Enter your fund password after checking and confirm your order.

Step 4: Your order will appear in the Orders tab at the bottom of the screen.

Step 5: Once the order is uted, your funds will be credited to your balance.

Step 6: The uted/canceled order will move to the Trade tab.
